Wakefield CAMRA beer festival for me tonight.
Over 120 beers, ciders etc. to choose from, tough job but someone has to do it.
What plans does everyone else have for post work beverage intake?

I have a couple of bottles of porter in the cupboard, but I've been feeling decidedly ropey for a couple of weeks now, and I'm not entirely sure that my liver isn't trying to escape through my arse and head back to the breeding grounds in the hills..

So I'll just be drinking tea tonight..

Goose Island is good, but Sierra Nevada is even nicerer. from Morrisons, Waitrose, Booths. possibly also from Tesco but definitely not at Asda

Waitrose also stock other really nice real ales that the other supermarkets don't, well worth a visit. hmmm, only half hour to go ...

I wonder if my self-brewed Old Peculier is ready yet

I admire your restraint.

I've not been shopping yet so am not completely sure however if Hobgoblin is still on offer then it will probably be purchased and consumed. 🙂

I am on antibiotics. No beer for me until tomorrow 🙁

On the plus side, it's been ten days, so at least I'll be a cheap drunk 😀

mighty mule - unless you're taking metronidazole, you can enjoy a few beers with no detriment.

I'll be tucking into some Henry Weston's Special Vintage cider and some Old Speckled Hen.

Got some San Miguel in the fridge, but Mrs Rusty bought me a bottle of this for tonight. Don't know what it tastes like but it's worth it for the label - a naked lady and a bicycle!

They've got Moorhouse's Pride of Pendle and Samuel Adams Blonde on the guest pumps at my local pub, both of which I rather like. I think it would be rude not to go and partake of them this evening.

As it is (supposedly) Stout Day I'll be having one of these.
[img] [/img]

That said, having seen some of the Belgian beers on here, it's given me a taste for what's left of these from a Summer in France.

Indeed it is International Stout Day @albino

I had one of those Leffe Royales t'other night. Really nice and whetted my appetite for Belgian beers again.

Today, though, I'll be mostly drinking...

..and maybe this...

Buddy's bourbon beer with honey.

It doesn't really fit the "like leffe but not leffe" brief I gave before the trip to the shops but it's nice enough.
