Wakefield CAMRA beer festival for me tonight.
Over 120 beers, ciders etc. to choose from, tough job but someone has to do it.
What plans does everyone else have for post work beverage intake?
3 real ales from the real ale shop tonight.
Drinking in Oxford town tomorrow for a friends 30th.
I have a couple of bottles of porter in the cupboard, but I've been feeling decidedly ropey for a couple of weeks now, and I'm not entirely sure that my liver isn't trying to escape through my arse and head back to the breeding grounds in the hills..
So I'll just be drinking tea tonight..
cheviots......red shed?
Goose Island is good, but Sierra Nevada is even nicerer. from Morrisons, Waitrose, Booths. possibly also from Tesco but definitely not at Asda
Waitrose also stock other really nice real ales that the other supermarkets don't, well worth a visit. hmmm, only half hour to go ...
I wonder if my self-brewed Old Peculier is ready yet
so one of these bad boys is mine to quoff tonight...
I admire your restraint.
I've not been shopping yet so am not completely sure however if Hobgoblin is still on offer then it will probably be purchased and consumed. 🙂
Ton
It's in "The Space" back of the Mazda Garage on Denby Dale Rd.

I am on antibiotics. No beer for me until tomorrow 🙁
On the plus side, it's been ten days, so at least I'll be a cheap drunk 😀
mighty mule - unless you're taking metronidazole, you can enjoy a few beers with no detriment.
I'll be tucking into some Henry Weston's Special Vintage cider and some Old Speckled Hen.
Bridgnorth Brewery River Steam and Kings Escape for me

Sadly, those are the ones I'm taking!
Couple of cheeky ones down the Plough in Coldharbour, Mount Leith. I have a 2 hour pass - woohoo.

An Italian's what?
Leaving for degga at 8 tomorrow morning so probably nothing more than a quick beer whilst checking the bike over. That's the plan anyway....
Tesco have a cracking deal on at the mo.
Most real ales and Erdinger plus a few other lagers 4 for £5.
I stocked up yesterday so Doom Bar, Black Sheep, TT Landlord and OSH (all x2) await my arrival in the not-too-distant future 😀
A sixteen strong selection of Badger's Best from Cost-co should do it! 🙂
singlespeeddan, is that 10% I can see on that bottle, mate you're gonna be steaming!
Tesco's organic vintage pear cider (shouldn't that be perry?),on special offer at about £1.50
They've got Moorhouse's Pride of Pendle and Samuel Adams Blonde on the guest pumps at my local pub, both of which I rather like. I think it would be rude not to go and partake of them this evening.
As it is (supposedly) Stout Day I'll be having one of these.

That said, having seen some of the Belgian beers on here, it's given me a taste for what's left of these from a Summer in France.

Indeed it is International Stout Day @albino
I had one of those Leffe Royales t'other night. Really nice and whetted my appetite for Belgian beers again.
Today, though, I'll be mostly drinking...
..and maybe this...
Das Helle from Aldi ;0)
Jekyll, yes but no one is around to convince me to enter any sporting challenges.
Like the puffer.
Several Tangle Foots (Tangle Feet?). Next weekend off to the Real Ale Wobble!
Buddy's bourbon beer with honey.
It doesn't really fit the "like leffe but not leffe" brief I gave before the trip to the shops but it's nice enough.
Brooklyn lager's gone 😥
the Old Peculier is not ready yet. tastes good but flat as a fart
next up, Saltaire Brewery Triple Chocoholic, choc stout. tis lovely
mmm sounds yummy. young's double choc is one of my joint favourites.
singlespeeddan - MemberAlso got some of this:
Just thing for a cold evening
Dark Island Reserve is incredible, one of the best beers I've ever had.
I'm on Brewdog Old World IPA and Russian Imperial tonight. Both really good.
For the last two evenings I have been mostly drinking excellent beer at the Stonehaven Real Ale Festival.
And as if you magic it's beer o'clock round this side of the world got some ipa in
Bit late to the party but did have a couple of home made Shropshire lad in my favourite glass
