My favourite ale by far at the moment. local bristol brewers.
Don't know, and I certainly won't be making up my mind today - it's the start of Kentish Green Hop Beer fortnight today!
Anyone in Kent who's likes unusual beers should check these out - over 30 different beers, all made by local (mostly small independent) breweries - all from freshly picked rather than dried hops. Well worth checking out, but will only be available for 2 weeks!

It'll be something dark and Belgian tonight I think. Chimay of some variety I would imagine.
+1 for punk
Meantime Pale Ale from that brewery over the river in Greenwich 😉
This country - Saltaire Raspberry Blonde
On Hols - Ruby Leffe
Weihenstephaner Hefe Weiss
Massive cider. Weston's reserve. 8.2% of comfortably numb.
^^Erdinger Weizen is officially a bike recovery drink innit? Will save that for Saturday.
Prolly an Oktoberfest beer tonight, to remain topical.
Punk IPA will have to wait till next time I'm back in Blighty
The Pinkster has it. Good choice. Gives me a bad head though. 😉
Peroni 🙂

Pint of cider, please, can we sit in the garden so I can have a rolly?
I'm with Kimbers Doom Bar.
It'll be a bottle of the lovely dry Normandy cider I brought back from the holidays this summer. Only another 40 bottles to go and I'll have to find something else to drink.
At only €3 a bottle it would have been rude not to fill the car.
Just been to the local beer shop, got some Punk IPA. Nice.
Hop Back Summer Lightning
tripel karmeliet

+1 for Doombar.
Nice try but you are all wrong:
Not a huge fan of Belgian beers, too strong and too sweet.
So you're wrong, soz.
Wiper and True seconded. Lovely beer. Even better from the cask which Luke sometimes has in the Bag 'o Nails.
Hmm.
One beer only? Thwaites Tavern Porter OR Fullers London Porter OR their Black Cab Stout
Tomorrow it will probably change to Thornbridge Jaipur
Aaagh, I had it down to Grozet.
But then you went and mentioned Tripel Karmaliet.
Doomed to a life of indecision.
i have to say that i prefer light pale beer, sub 4.5 if possible
saltaire blonde
ossett blonde
ilkley mary jane
magic rock curious
kelham easy rider
kirkstall 3 swords
badger summer glory
exmoor gold
hop studio 1 hop
oh god, i broke the 1 only rule...... 😳
zilog- thanks for the heads up. Will be heading to the Man of Kent for a couple of those this weekend! 🙂
Tonight however, it's Brewferm Abdij (homebrew Abbey style beer) for me.
The co-operative Czech premium lager.

It's alright, your exquisite taste in beer is enough to let you off.
That would depend where I was - there are dozens of beers which would do, but I think if I could choose anything, then I'd go for something from the Kernel brewery in London, something from whatever their current crop of beer might be - this time of year, probably darker without too much hop aroma, and a fair about of bitterness.
Can narrow it down to a brewery.
Wold Top Brewery
Local hops, Yorkshire water.
Not had a bad brew from them. Must refill the beer fridge.
Sunny, post ride? There can only be one:
Timmy Taylors Golden Best. Not as strong as Landlord, very drinkable and with a packet of pork scratchings contains all the essential minerals and vitamins to help you rehydrate*
*utter boollacks
My current favourite "Friday evening straight after work" pint is Brooklyn lager
Pricey, but soooooo refreshing
there are 20-30 on at the beer festival at my local this weekend.
several of tons favourites iirc.
i'll just have a half please
Orkney SkullSplitter.
DEUCHARS IPA
3.8% but tastes like more
Beautiful golden ale ......

Good thread. Was trying to think, after a few weeks of conspicuous consumption, consisting of stag weekends, weddings and festivals, what is the most enjoyable pint I've had recently. It's this stuff:
Absolutely scrumptious. So much so I'm thinking about sending away for one of those boxes.
My untappd wishlist just got bigger.
Dunno why I looked at that Sainsbury's contest thing, and read all the reviews, cos none of the 30 beers are available in Germany.
Actually I think the local beers-of-the-world store might have one from my wishlist.
Black Isle: Smokey Porter for me mmmmm.
One beer? Are you insane?
So happy that I live somewhere pretty good for pubs 🙂
Not usually partial to Belgium/Wheat beers but this one works for me
Hebden's Wheat.
Murray's Summer Ale is always nice. Mm, Cumberland Bar.
Just found some Orkney Brewery Corncrake Ale (IPA) at £1.32 a pop in Tesco, when I say just I tried some last night and was back to day to re-stock..
I can't choose one. But in around an hour I will have a serious choice to make because I'll be here

Liking the Chouffe, but I had the one out of my fridge just the other day, so it's a toss up between the Tripel Karmeliet or the Daura (gluten free Estrella) which has less consequence in the long term!
I'd murder a pint of Mary Jane IPA just now.
Pops out to the bike shop
