agree with this totally, i drink pale hoppy or fuity blonde beers, for the taste rather than the strength.
but, i am just sipping a jura at present, which is quite strong.

Love it, love it, love it!

Two bottles of Crouch Vale Amarillo and two Fullers Bengal Lancers whilst I ate a curry and watched the last episode of the Lonesome Dove mini series, now a glass of red and MOTD... All the time scoring brownie points, as Mrs Flea is out with friends and I'm looking after the mini Fleas! 🙂

I totally stopped drinking it when I got diagnosed coeliac and told to go on a wheat free diet. Turned to cider instead. Now I don't know if everyone realises this, but cider is made out of fruit. So that had to go. I'd always assumed the gluten free beer would be manky, because making beer without wheat is a bit like trying to make some sort of meat substitute out of fungus. But it turns out, some of it is pretty bloody good. Ah beer, never leave me again!

I agree.
Been off it since Sept as going sober for Macmillan.
I would love my reintroduction pint on Sat to be Brains SA Gold...but as I'm not in Wales it will probably be a lovely Blue Monkey Infinity down the local ale establishment...can't wait 😉

Beer to me is a kind of easy Slapper: love it in the evenings, but not the morning after.

I remember taking some medication a few years ago that made bet taste ridiculously bitter for a few months. I was mortified.

Luckily, my tastebuds returned to normal operations eventually and I'm so relieved I can love beer again.

You don't know what you have until you fear you might lose it...

Had a post ride Sunday roast at the magnificent Royal Oak at Hurdlow with a mate today. Rather fell in love with the Thornbridge Cedar they had on. All sorts of flavours going on with it, shame I had to drive home and only had a half pint.....

Among the beers Wetherspoons are doing in their beer festival is this absolute belter.7.5% of West Coast citrusy style all for £1.99 a pint. If you like an IPA this is a stunner.
