So i like watching medical reality programs, like 24hrs in A&E, 999:Critical Condition, Surgeons: Edge of Life etc etc
This week there were 2 programs with mountain bikers in them! Anyone here?
First one was a 2016 repeat - 24hrs in A&E. Guy i think in Swinley fell off - in hospital
Second one was Critical Condition, guy screwed up a jump and fractured ankle (ankle was floppy)
Technically, yes.
But...
Only a certain part of me and only to a select audience.
I hope.

Glass jar and rotten.com?
Naked attraction and you got dumped after showing your knees???
When I crashed in Switzerland, the rescue was filmed for whatever the Swiss version of 999 / Crash, Death, Action! / etc is.
Rather cheekily, the Swiss air rescue charged my insurance company for 4 flights.
Coming to get me. Flying me to hospital. Return flight to collect the camera crew they'd had to leave behind to fit me in. Back to base.
I never saw any of the footage so I have no idea if it ever got aired.
Technically, yes.

I was in the local arthouse cinema recently and I think I saw your name in the end credits for a John Carpenter movie. Put me right off my popcorn.

And there was me thinking "Robocock" was one of those porn parody films.
Me and my family are on Helicopter ER if that counts, we assisted the crew carrying a collapsed walker to the helicopter due to the remoteness of the location and urgency of situation. Mountain Rescue were still at least an hour out when we came peddling up the hill on our bikes and were asked to help. S08E02 if anyone's interested.
WCA? 🤣
Speaking of which, I've come across him a couple of times recently on top 10 ebikes segments, or someone impersonating him!
I was on the TV news loop for the Potters Bar rail crash and two 999 TV documentaries captured me.
I have... but not on those sorts of programs and for work.
A good friend directed some of the Bizarre ER series - he said it was quite good fun.
I was in the BBC documentary about the 54 hour cave rescue. The video is no longer available but I just watched the trailer and I am clearly visible holding some rope at 2.25 as we (supposedly) construct a survival shelter in the cave to warm the casulaty. The reality is that although I played a fairly significant role on the rescue I didn't even get near the shelter, let alone build it. And of cousre the reconstruction was done in a completely different, and easily accessed, part of the cave. The joys of film making!
And not forgetting 🙂

Mrs Bloke has just been contacted out of the blue by the production company that do "Escape to the Country". They are doing a show around Ludlow and South Shropshire and they want her for the filler bit at the the end when they speak to locals. She has a small wildlife art business which is what attracted them. There is a film crew coming next week but thank the gods, I'm away on a bikepacking trip with my son and daughter! I didn't escape completely however as they also want us to self film some stuff beforehand with me in it too, waffling on about why we moved here etc. Bugger!
A short clip on "Police, Camera, Action"
So inconsequential that even I can't remember the reason. Unmarked 3litre 24v Senator for the car spotters
No hospitals were involved
welshfarmer, now that's memorable.
One of my most-watched bits of TV from someone who's never been in a proper cave (tourist stuff only)
The only reason for watching these things is to see if there’s anyone I know in them. Most people have more sense.
A specialty shout out goes to my mate from SHO jobs who, when she realised the cameras were rolling, swore so much the footage was unusable.
And there was me thinking "Robocock" was one of those porn parody films.
The hospital actually wanted me to go under the knife on camera again this year, unfortunately not all is well with the implant. (I had a chat with them and said that I know the op needs doing but I *need* this Summer, I can't go through it healing from another operation.)
Anyway...
If I do get filmed again I'll ask if it can have the working title of, "Cock Op 2: Electric Boogaloo."

One of my colleagues became the face of the local anti meth amphetamine TV campaign years ago. Then that campaign was featured in a public health advertising critique on a major TV show. It was rather funny.
“Porn Parody”
i was walking past a vintage cinema in Ottawa a couple of years back, the sign was advertising “Enter The Drag Dragon”
i had to read it like 3 times before I realised it wasn’t a martial arts classic.
I've been in hospital on STW. Right now.
That's going to take some traction. How on earth did your foot end up at that angle?
Heal fast 🙂

I was feeling sympathy for the pic then burst out laughing at that comment.
I thought they usually put the red sticker on the right crank arm?
GWS.
Wow - Flashy's choice of footwear hasn't got any better.
This thread has not gone the way the OP expected.
Healing vibes to all of you
Cheers all
