Ive recently become a BC member and I've reserved something at Halfords with click and collect.
When I go for it do I just show them my BC membership card to get the discount or do they need to see anything else?

Thanks, Nathan

You need the code from the British cycling dashboard. I think the code can only be used once a month

Halfords discount

Yup, log in to your BC account and download the voucher.
New voucher each month but you can use it multiple times.

You definitely need a code, as I found to my cost,  but I think the "once a month" thing is for Chain Reaction

There is no code. Just a voucher. Unless the barcode on the voucher counts as the code?
It has changed recently - it used to be just your card.

Thanks all I'll take a look on the dashboard.

I tried using my card in store today and was told discount is now only for bike related purchases, no longer able to claim discount on anything else

I used my card the other day without any voucher. Worked the same as it always has.

I usually just pop in with card. They didn't even check if it had expired last time, fortunately.

Was told a couple of weeks back you need to download a code or use the app, was a bit pissed off tbh but needed the tyre there and then. Turns out they also had it price matched online so I overpaid something like 25% for convience

I Bought a car stereo today using the code of the dashboard. It looks like it’s luck of the draw.

It's bike stuff only, which makes joining Bc again next year less appealing for me. Getting 10% off at Halfords for bike stuff is just like paying regular online prices (or usually worse).

I've only ever shown my membership card, and used it for loads on non bike stuff too. Has all this changed recently?

BC discount benefits became generally awful around last August.

Agreed. I can't seem to sign up for Evans discount either.

It only changed recently. All the rules are on the BC website. Halfords discount used to be one of the main benefits but it's barely worth having having now, it no longer applies to sale items, and since their business model is to price high, then offer massive reductions, you'll be better off waiting for a sale and not using it.
