I seem to be missing the "My news" section whereby I could select news topics I was interested whereas now I'm served up some random topics of no interest to me on the main page and the "Explore" section shows Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland News but not England (or even UK!) news....
I work in app development so I know new functionality will be added over time but I don't even have a search option. Have I unknowingly been dropped into some sort of beta programmed??
This is Android BTW...

The My News section was deliberately removed in the recent update according to the note I got (on the iOS version).
This is a backward step; maybe they're using it to drive ad revenue overseas on the "Popular" stories.
I use the app but have never looked at the 'my news' section until just now.
This is what I get - Android

Also have a search function

Mt tool bar is different to yours as well. Just checked, I have the most recent version.

Mine is like sc-xc
While I may lean towards certain areas it's frustrating that browsing by major topic (Explore per the OP?) does not appear to be an option.
Braverman is taking a shot back to now control the news so people stop hating her for her ridiculous thoughts. You'll have stumbled on the control section where she is playing with stuff to hide bits.
The next stage of Take back control...
Etc. etc.
Yes I have the same and it’s rubbish. Updated to the latest app version and lost the my news section. I don’t use it anymore because of this, I like to see my local news, football stuff and a few other topics, not all I get is general world news in each of the 4 tabs.
I don’t know if the foreign version of the app is different? I’m in Norway on iPhone
I'd like to know why living in Portugal, if I open the BBC home page I get to see what (I assume) you see in the UK and then within a second the page changes to a different layout with a different order of stories? Sometimes stories that were headlined disappear altogether and I have to search for them. I use the BBC a lot less than I used to but it just seems a bit odd that it works like that.
