Was really looking forward to this as I am an avid inhaler of all things British history but switched this off after 20 minutes.  Really could not get over the poor acting, really odd character portrayal and atrocious modern language usage in what was supposed to be 11th century England/France.  Michael Robert Johnson really needs to go and watch a few episodes of Vikings or The Last Kingdom before again attempting something like this I feel.  Did anyone enjoy it?

Though I’m a massive fan of the books I thought The Last Kingdom was pretty poorly done (though I still watch it all). Was looking forward to K&C as also a big fan of historical dramas but sounds like it’s a bit of a let down.

Hard to top Vikings IMHO.

If this is the thing that they keep trailing on 6 Music, then yes, it does sound really annoying.

Too slow for me, the references to Earl Godwin and Queen Emma just got me thinking about how much better Vikings: Valhalla was. I gave up before ep.2
