Absolutely stunning footage and some species I've never even heard of before.

Does anyone else think it's been "toned down" from earlier series?

There seems to have a lot less graphic killing scenes.

Personally, I don't think it's completely bad thing, as they seemed to be getting almost gratuitous with some of the hunting scenes. Although, we do need to understand how brutal nature is.

The images are stunning. My complaint is that it flits round the continent and species and is all very superficial. There isn’t the depth on the subject their used to be, or at least that’s how it feels.

It's wildlife porn, isn't it. Beautifully filmed, beautifully edited and very undemanding. Tells the viewer pretty much nothing about the animals or environments themselves but fills a gap on a Sunday evening.

I should be all over programmes like this but I'm missing something. I still have the first edition of the Life On Earth book because that's what I wanted to do when I grew up. (I'm not sure what? Be Attenborough or Johnny Morris maybe?) I got a Save The Whales and RSPB membership when I was a kid, a deep rooted love of nature and wildlife, an HND in Biology and still spend a lot of  time trudging around the countryside and boring my family about galls or beetles. And Attenborough series bore the pants off me. It's me not David!

Dave is 98 now! Amazing.

Pretty impressive. Stunning images. My favourite bits are always the end about how they film stuff.

Stunning in UHD & HDR. I agree that the killing scenes seems toned down.

For some reason i always love watching mountain goats.
