Try the Peacock pub. Very nice, not too dear.

Only a couple of miles away from bakewell, little longstone barns in, surprisingly, little longstone if you want to do self catering. Cracking pub grub next door as well!

Also stayed at the Everton b&b which was cheap and cheerful.

A little way out of Bakewell - the Farmyard in Youlegrave, www.farmyardinn.co.uk

woody21 - you do realise that if you ever spelt Youlgreave/Youlgrave (Ironically either is acceptable) as you did, whilst residing in deepest darkest Derbyshire, you'd be fed to the pigs - after being forced to partake in the age old tradition of shagging your 1st cousin - of course if you commit no further crime you will be allowed to upgrade to your sister.

There aren't many different surnames in Youlgreave!

Youlgrave can be spelt in a multitude of ways - the road signs prove it. Makes a change from having a relationship with lamb chop
