Missus is getting agitated about the fact our bathroom is a dump so I'm going to have to seriously look into replacing it. Any recommendations for where to buy a suite from?
The room in question isn't massive, hopefully manage to fit a shower over bath in there but that is where I have another question.
Our hot water is heated by the living room fire (no gas) and living on a farm means when the father in law is finishing up milking and washing the units in the parlour the water pressure drops so wondering what the ideal solution for a shower is?

I'm in this very place right now, had a quote just before Xmas to convert a toilet into a shower/wetroom with wall hung unit and walk in shower, eight grand! Think I'm going to look further afield, on the power shower front Aqualisa seems to be the main brand, with a pump, but I shall be watching this thread with interest.

Is it Victoria's Secrets or Plumb or something that do online bathroom stuff..

Victoria Plum I think is who my sister in law just used for their bathroom bits, I've been on and requested a brochure but have no idea whether they're cheap/good value/etc....
As far as the shower is concerned I know the inlaws next door (we're all on the same plumbing) have an electric shower in their downstairs bathroom but I always find them to be a waste of time as they lack power, also the pressure dies and it goes freezing cold whenever a tap is run/washing machine is on/father in law washing out.

The Aqualisa we have isn't an electric shower per se which I agree are useless, it's a pump assisted drain on your hot water tank to give you a powerful shower with two settings. You push one button or both and get a powerful pump assisted shower, but it needs a hot water feed. So how do you heat the water in the summer? (You could consider solar)

By lighting the fire! We do have an immersion heater but that doesn't do the radiators obviously which is a bit of a pain. Hopefully in the near future we'll be getting a new kitchen stove/boiler which will take over the heating duties and be a bit easier to keep going throughout summer.

You're not getting much help here are you, this place is normally Woodburning Stovetrackworld, I'm surprised you haven't had more helpful advice, then again it is the weekend and they are probably all out on their bikes cutting down trees and pressing wild flowers..
