Mid-week dilemma!
The pop up plug on the bath seems to have lost its seal - I don't remember it being there but I'm guessing it was just an O ring.
So the internal diameter of the groove the seal should sit in measures 36mm - do I get a 36mm seal or a 35.5/35/34mm seal to ensure a watertight fit against the plug?

I think that plugs are 'standard' sizes usually e.g. 1", 1.25" or 1.5" etc. B&Q have o-rings in those sizes.

This is none of those.

o-rings arent supposed to be stretched tight. they wouldnt seal properly.

if the ID is 36, then a 38mm o-ring would probably sit nicely in the o-ring groove. which also happens to be ~1.5"

I am not a plumber.

Take the pop-up to your local plumber's merchant and ask their advice?
