Hoping someone can help with our bath mixer tap which is no longer diverting water correctly. Pulling up/ pressing down the collar on the diverter should direct water to either the bath taps or shower head, but water is either coming out of the shower fully, or a mix of bath tap and shower head. Not useful when running a bath!

Probably an issue with being blocked (we are in a hard water area) or an unseated washer, but I'm not sure how to remove to have a look.

There is a very small pin hole in the collar, and also a nut shape revealed when collar is up. I don't want to scratch up the chrome trying to figure it out 🙂

Any suggestions?

Isolate water and spanner it off to take a look. If it's knackered anyway, you might as well get stuck in.

That small pin hole looks like a grub screw?

Undo the grub screw (probably small Allen key). You'll then me able to dismantle the tap further to see what's happening.
