We work shifts and eat at work a lot, i like to have a big cook up occasionally and freeze it all.

Looking for inspiration for tasty, freezable and microwavable dinners please 🙂

Soups, casseroles and curries are your best bet.

Mary Berry is our ‘go to’ on pretty much anything like this. Google her name and “make ahead recipes” or similar - we’ve got a book of hers that’s geared around cooking, freezing and reheating - some great veggie dishes too. Typically we’ll get a meal for two out of them, then freeze a further four portions that can be nuked later. It’s all good stuff that, so far, has never failed...

Chilli, as easy to cook 7 or 8 portions as it is one, if you have a big pot. My secret ingredients other than always using fresh chillies, are smoked paprika and high cocoa dark chocolate.

Cheers. We do all the standard chilli, Bolognese, curry, sausage casserole etc.

I've done a load of pulled pork in the past which worked surprisingly well.

Looking for a bit of variety/more interesting stuff to try.

I'll check out the Mary Berry book cheers 🙂

Oh I'm making chilli this morning, which is what made think to post this.

And it always gets smoked paprika in it 👍

Will see if I can find some dark chocolate in the cupboard.

I just googled Merry Berry as suggested above and some of the dishes sound nice.

Made a big batch of Turkey and ham pies at Christmas and still enjoying them. Slightly against my principles as a Northerner who believes a pie should be fully encased in pastry, I just put a ready made puff pastry lid on in the foil freezer tray. Needs to fully defrost before going in the oven though.

Works well it's a traditional ingredient, I use chipolte paste instead for rich dark smokey flavour.

Pork on a rich tomatoe sauce is really nice . Quick to cook too , and you can add in load of veg and its a meal in a tupperware pot. Add apple and raisons for Somerset Pork.
Curry is easy and tastes better reheated imo

Fish pie works well for this. One of my ex gf's mums used to do it.

Or you could do shepherd's or cottage pies.

All of the above really. My 'usual' batch cooks are pulled pork chilli, bolognese (or lasagne), any old kind of curry, fish pie and chicken pie (usually made with left over Sunday chicken dinner meat - which I am doing tonight).

We do this one once every couple of weeks.

https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/3018685/chipotle-bean-chilli-with-baked-eggs

Easy to freeze in batches, then instead of baking with eggs, nuke the bean chilli whilst frying some eggs for the top. Slather with hot sauce = nom nom

Also, we tend to add a load of sweet potato or squash to the chilli to add a bit of 'bite and bulk'.
