My current lightweight bag is feeling a bit colder and tired after some 250 nights use or so. Doesn't owe me anything.
Looks like a good price. Cotswold are selling the current year version for an eye watering £350.
Just dug out my 40 year old Point Five Zero down bag, which my folks gave me as an 18th birthday present. It cost £70 IIRC, a huge amount at that time. To my amazement it seems to have survived several years scrunched up in a damp attic and is fluffing up nicely. Hope it's OK as we're doing C2C this weekend, camping four nights.
Globalti - you want to test it before you go...feathers are made from the same stuff as fingernails (keratin), which breaks down over time.
The funny thing with down bags is that the higher the loft rating, the quicker it breaks down! I probably wouldn't have bought as light of a bag as I did if I'd known that at the time.
