Why on earth does something have to be particularly [i]clever[/i] to be a beautifully ironic look at society..?
Isn't it cleverness and the worship of cleverness that has pushed society into it's present corner..?
These artworks are very much in the public eye.. and the public at large doesn't neccessarily require intellectual gymnastics from it's satirical social commentary..
or am I missing something..?

Edit: Anyways, while I like some of the social commentary stuff from Banksy I do like Daim more. Who has also sold out....but then who wouldn't make cash from doing something they love?
