Bank phones to report a fraud transaction on my card. Great they stopped it happening and have cancelled my bank cards immediately. They will send new ones in 2-3 day. I am leaving on a business trip on Wednesday moring so won't get the new cards in time.

Their advice was to transfer money to another account and use that. Can I set up a new account and get the money transferred tomorrow? No.

Okay, hotels can go on the credit card but using credit cards to get cash and drinks in Vegas will be awkward and possibly expensive.

Any bright ideas?

www.cashpassport.co.uk or walk in to a thomas cook or supermarket to get one like Murray said.

bonus if you lose your card, they will western union you the money and debit the card so your never without cash.

Credit cards are fine for getting cash in vegas. No charge from the machines i used, exchange rate was better than i thought it was going to be too. Paid for lots of drinks on credit card. However cash is always good

no bright ideas I'm afraid except take a load of dollars to last until Wednesday. The same happened to me but I was already abroad, in Pucallpa, Peru, after telling them that I was travelling there. Idiots.

If you get a credit card which doesn't charge for use abroad it's cheaper than exchanging cash.
I've just been to Vegas recently and you'll struggle to find places where you can't use a card!

Borrow your wife's, no one checks signatures - especially in the US. In fact none of mine of mine are signed.
