As i type this there is an ad for this account running on my right! Anyway, looking to change my account and have been for some time as the 'good offers ran out' on my cahoot online account. It certainly seems a decent offer on the face of it, only thing i dont like is there is a cost for it albeit £2 per month for account and the same for the credit card, however if you use it as it should then the cashback should more than make up for it, also i'd close my current ING savings account and have a decent balance so i'd win there too. Am i missing any pitfalls? Has anyone already got one of these accounts or recommend an alternative?

Thanks in advance 🙂

Emilio Bótin is not a multi-millionaire because he gives good deals to his customers. Also the family is up on curruption charges for dodgy dealings smoewhere or other, I wouldn't give them a cent of my money, I never have banked with them and never will.
Apart from that, if the deal seems good, go for it.

I've used a Capital One World credit card for a few years. It's "only" 1% cashback but that's on everything; this year I got a nice little £230 present just after Chrimbo. The 123 credit card has plenty more rules about what cashback you get and where so check the small print. I like things simple.

No idea about the current account other than the fact I use Santander. Like most things in life, they seem OK but then I've never had need to test their real services with a problem.

How about choosing a Bank based on customer service and sound lending practices rather than jumping around for small returns.

Just a thought?

Is there such a thing these days?

I wouldn't describe myself as 'jumping around', i've been with my current bank for 11 years.....
