Weather doesn't help, but at least Monday is my WFH day ! Didn't have to get soaked on the way to work !
Could be worse. I have a 2 day team building 'conference' coming up. I've identified a whopping 30mins of potentially interesting content. There's 2+ hours set aside for 'what personality type are you?' 🤦♂️

The sun is shining here, and the UK's most high profile hate-monger has been sacked. I couldn't be happier.
I’m running the house while Mrs Reeksy is away for work. Just made it to the school bus on time this morning, whereupon Master Reeksy the Younger asked “Where’s my school bag?” Clearly he didn’t put it in the car.
So Master Reeksy the Elder gets on the bus while we drive home to get the bag, then turn around and drive 30 mins to school. Another 20 minutes to work. Get to work pretty late…
Lunchtime I get a call to say Elder is unwell. Drive back to school to get him and spend the rest of the day at home having Teams meetings with rooms full of colleagues that I can’t properly hear and desperately trying not to fall asleep.
Younger gets home and announces he forget his towel for swimming and also his underwear (he wore his trunks to school) so after swimming spent the day in wet swimmers.
It’s definitely Monday.
But at least I’m not stuck trying to get into a compost bin.

Dog got her stitches out.... Yay
Bathroom renovation guys came early and are cracking on... Yay.
Dog opened up her wound leaving a huge hole in her cheek and a trip back to the vet where she was sedated in my arms... Mega booo.
No bathroom at home now so no choice but to take her to my parents where I should be by now with a happy dog.
It's been a rollercoaster.
I really want to apply for a job that's just been advertised. Same role, different department. Part time hours. 3 days a week. That means I'd have 4 days every week to be who I want to be!
Big reduction in take home pay. Wife says no.

Got wet at the station when train delayed, but sun now shining.
Conversation at work went from decrying the Home Secretarys actions to celebrating her departure.
Case I was dreading looking at today seems to meet the new "pragmatic " guidelines as uneconomic to pursue, so i can clear that.
No club ride tonight but I may sneak onto the council health ride instead.
My Monday is turning out better than i expected.

Went out to the wife’s car this morning to find some ****ing scrotes have tried to get in to it by cutting a hole in the boot with an angle grinder. Given it’s a Range Rover it’ll no doubt be at least a couple of £k damage. Wa*kers.

Apparently it’s a thing on RR’s, you cut the hole to access the wiring and can then bypass the alarm and immobiliser. Half expecting it to be gone tomorrow morning when I wake up as they might be back to try and finish the job.

Except I wouldn’t know where to start with that. I’ve emptied it of every possession so if they come back to nick it tonight they can have it. Back to BMW’s for me (well the wife) after this, they’re way too easy to steal.
Anything's easy to steal if they're sufficiently motivated thieves. Premium marques are likely stolen to order. A BMW instead isn't going to help you if they're standing in your bedroom demanding your keys.

Got soaked walking the dog, but worked from home, cancelled a morning meeting we can do without, did some home baked granola at lunch, windy but dry walk with the dog this evening. Could be worse.

Mine started with a 2 hour commute to my home office. It was supposed to be my proper office but thanks to what I assume was a hefty accident it was an over 90 minute crawl to the first junction where I could leave the motorway (barely 5 miles from home) followed by about 30 minutes of dodging hand held mobile using muppets through suburbia to home.
I am of course extremely grateful that I was not in whatever pile up caused the delay and I hope that noone was seriously hurt and that it's just crumpled cars to be mended / replaced.
Tuesday can get in the bin too😐
Monday finished with figuring out how to get a rider picked up and taken to be checked out after a fall and apparent concussion.
