The Osborne isn't what it was; nice grounds though and great view of the sea.

I met Gerard Depardieu there once.

Balls is my MP 😯

Armpit actually (with apologies to Not the Nine O'clock News)

One is a historian with a dodgy grasp of economics
One is an economist with a dodgy grasp of economics
One trained as a Keynesian economist and professes to be a Keynesian but failed to follow basic K policies when in power
One was correct to use term flatlining
One talked about Plan A but implemented a Plan B in reality
Both were wrong on core assumptions about the UK economy
Both are weak orators
Both are struggling with the hairstyles
Both react to rather than lead economic developments, have broadly similar policies are are constrained by the same global issues
Both are better than Uncle Vice or Danny Alexander

On balance, Osborne (just and only just) for the simple reason that Balls (given his training) should have known better. Easier to forgive a history grad!!!

Rather have dinner with Balls though to understand why he lived up to his name in power. He would be more interesting.

It still brings a tear of pride to my eye when I see that this great, inclusive nation of ours can unite around one thing. George Osbourne.

There's a beautiful moment 15 seconds in, when you can't laugh it off any more, and you realise the truth

One forecast a double dip recession
The other forecast a recovery

Both were wrong 😀

Reminds me of Time Trumpet's comparison between Blair and Brown

"Tony could shit in your hat and you'd want to shake his hand. Gordon would shake your hand and you'd want to shit in his hat."
