I ordered a watch for Christmas on the 12th dec and basically it never turned up, i rang about 8 times and kept getting fobbed off and told that it was coming the next day , i was told on Christmas eve that it was out of stock and the web site hadn't been updated when i ordered it on the 12th and that they had refunded me and the money would be back in my account in 3 - 5 working days
Fat lot of good that is on Christmas eve
So where do i stand ? and what should i threaten them with ?
Thanks for any advice

Did they return the money?
If so, what loss have you suffered?

One of these things..

I think theres a "reasonable delivery time" which is 30 days after order.

Name and shame?

What he said, not much you can do IMO, doesn't sound like they care anyway.

What loss, 2 days off work waiting for deliveries, i've got despatch emails saying its on its way and a few hours to customer services on the phone, plus the Wife not getting a Christmas present and them having my money for 21 days
They should care, they claim to be the best department store in the world

Get on their Facebook page and rant, or get onto Twitter and use their name with #custserv #fail in your tweet.

Companies seem to respond far quicker when you are airing their dirty laundry in public.

Email to the managing director (have a Google) will probably help. Got an issue with Amazon resolved admirably quickly!
