They also need to check their maths - they don't sell for 20p anymore!!

That's probably what they cost rather than what they sell them for

As above, pretty sure they are a lot more eggspensive than 20p. 😆

I'd not shell out more than 30p.

The yolk would be on you if you did, you’d have egg all over your face!

I looks like they didn't catch whoever poached them.  They must have scrambled.

Glad you all spotted the opportunity to work out the profit on a creme egg, same as me.

So it’s about 70% gross margin on a creme egg.

Cocks.

Cocks.

You'll be lucky if you get any eggs from one of them.

If they sold direct to customer, and that cost of sales was zero.

I’ve had about un oeuf of egg puns now, as yolk can see.

There's a few good lines in the report, looks like the author was given free range to express their self. Adding more puns would be easy, over 10 in this thread alone but let's look on the sunny side. Up in Stafford there will be plenty of cheap, unpleasant chocolate wrapped round over sweet filling to share.

.75p (inc vat) at RRP, an average retailer will buy at around 50p > 35p per egg (+vat) depending on where/when/who they are buying from. The 20p is prob Cadbury's cost price.
