Icloud is full. USBs don't work. Apple can't fix them.
Can I do a blue tooth back up to the mac or download the back up from the cloud to the mac ?
As always keep it reeeeeeeeeeal simple.
No, I do not believe you can downoad the iCloud backup to the Mac or backup the device via Blietooth
However, you can do WiFi backup to the Mac. Perhaps you meant WiFi not Bluetooth ?
I don't have my Mac with me so cannot click through actual pages but if you go to iTunes you should see the iPad device as an icon - clock on that and there will be an option to backup/sync over the air (wifi). What I don't know is what will happen to the iCloud backup if you do this.
IIRC WiFi backup is the only way of doing this, and only backup to your Mac and not iCloud.
I backup all my stuff to my Mac first, then dump the less important bits into iCloud.
What do you mean 'USB's don't work'? You should always be able to plug your iPad into your mac/PC and syncronise and back up or update via the USB connector even if the device memory is full or if iCloud is full. Do you mean your actual cable is broken? In what way have you asked Apple to fix what?
To backup/syncronise via WiFi you ahve to enable this via iTunes preferences in your computer first then in your iPad/device.
Should the mac find the ipad on its on?
The only time I've seen an ipad icon is when I was able to connect via a wire.
I've never connected it via blue tooth.
Not worried about the icloud back up as I want to delete it anyway.
Regarding the USB they are stumped as the devices and cables connect to the genius bar computers . We have one solitary iPhone that will connect to our mac with our cables. So something is properly wrong with our computer.
Perchy, I have no idea what those things are!
Zippy yes when you start iTunes you should see a icon looking like a Phone - this is assuming both the Mac and iPad are on the same WiFi. When you click on that icon you should get various info/options one of which is "connect over wifi" (or something similar)
EDIT this is a bit old so icon have moved (to the left I think) but should set you on your way

Will try when I get home. I think the ipad is on 2g and mac on 5 g so I probably won't see the icon.
Having said that my ipad mini is on the 5g and that doesn't show . Will investigate.
The wifi tech should make no difference, thats just a speed issue. My Mini in from 2009 and it can see iPad Air2 and iPhone6. Where you may have an issue is that they may have to be linked the first time via a cable as a "setup", I say this as my Mini doesn't show icons for the wife's phone/pad just mine. Not sure if thats an AppleID type thing or device setup
IIRC you cant turn on wifi sync without first plugging it in physically so that itunes is aware of it and shows its properties
It says to enable wifi sync connect to iTunes on your computer using a cable and click sync with this iPad over wifi.
First off the USBs don't work and if you are connected by cable why do it over wifi? Stoopid.
if you are connected by cable why do it over wifi?
Once you've set it up with a cable, it works over the wifi without the cable.
What's wrong with the USB, out of interest?
The USBs will only connect with 1 out of 6 of our devices. As I mentioned above Apple don't know why.
Would this help?
