Can't remember who it is who raves about these but where is best to get them? These seem to cost quite a lot so I presume that they also last a while?

It isn't, not tried them before but a load of recipes seem to call for them and nutty, cheesy taste kinda appeals.

Probably me.  'Raving' is a bit strong, but they do get lobbed in madam's vegan bowl on account of B12 and that 'cheesy nutty' taste that enhances most dishes.  Usually gets mashed into jacket spud, chucked in chillis, bolognaise, soups, gravies etc  👍🏼

Marigold Engevita (savoury) is the one we use.125g (25 servings). Can't remember where I purchased the last one from.  Probably about £3 from a supermarket?  Waitrose at a guess, I go there for the posh extras. It's a big old tub of the stuff and prob go trhough one a month.

Yup it was you! Apologies, it wasn't meant to be offensive, wrong term used. I'll have a look for that, tesco don't seem to sell it so might just order some from Amazon.

No apologies required!  Just being clear in case of disappointment via overly high expectations!😎  On point -  just stirred some in a Linda Macs' pseudo-duck-based stir-fry.   Garlic, onions, green peppers, tamari, ginger and Worcestershire sauce.  A winner.

other top econo-seasoning tip - last week I found a chilli-flakes and sea salt mill in Mozzers for a quid (Asian food shelf). It's getting some heavy use.  V good on everything.

Thanks for the tips, we use chilli flakes pretty extensively! Due to the (health oriented) diet that I follow I don't add salt to anything and generally go out of my way to avoid food high in salt. That also eliminates things like Linda mccartney when you couple in that I avoid saturated fat too.

Cashoo nuts and nutritional yeast cheese sauce for vegan

mac n cheese, and vegan chilli cheese dip are favourites. Both made from cashoo and NY.

I was advised to take a yeast supplement in my much younger days as a good weight training supplement.  I'm normally quite a windy person but this put me off the scale, it was highly amusing.  I hope this helps.

Anyone remember what the Polish flavouring (or if not Polish, then sourced from Polish shiops) was from a similar recent thread?
