Off the metropolis that's Aviemore next week.  Just wondering what there is to ride. Mostly revisiting haunts of my youth so big hills/crags, walking over to the Shelter Stone etc but the bike is coming to.  I fancy riding out to Loch Einich if only to look around the Barrie and Baird landscape. Burma road maybe. Wife will have her hardtail ebike so thats our ride over to Nebthbridge etc from Glenmore sorted.

Anywhere else to play? Haven't decided MTB or CX bike yet. The former will be better with the mrs and probably Burma.

If you fancy a long gravel ride then the loop up Glen Tromie and into Glen Feshie is now complete. Ebike would be fine if you started at Uath Lochan or Feshiebridge.

About 7 years ago a couple of us came over from Deeside to Ruigh Aiteachain and then went looking for the bridge, I think a kilometer or so north. It was closed/derelict. Not marked any more on new maps but there is a Fb marked maybe 4 k further north. Is it useable with bikes? I think we used it  but can't remember. Nice circle to go from Achlean to the bothy on one side of the river and back the other.

Yeah, that bridge (the Pony Bridge) is still fine. Great spot for a swim.
