In an ideal world I'd buy a wired sound bar with wired sub but they're rather thin on the ground.
As a self-confessed gizmo bimbo I need to reduce the inevitable tears so what will be my easiest option? There is no ARC connection on the telly cos it's a good few years old.
Over to you clever people. 😀
What have you got currently? (TV / sources etc)
Thanks for replying Cougar. Currently have a telly plus dvd player and, from what I can gather, would be able to use either the headphone slot on the telly or the digital audio output. Currently use a Chromecast but unsure whether this would be affected?
From looking it would seem that it's only the basic ones that are wired. Have Samsung telly so have gone for their sound bar.
Manufacturer shouldn't matter, it's a standard. Digital out will be far superior to the headphone jack. Make sure it's the same type of input on the bar (optical or coaxial).
Digital it is, thank for your help. 8)
