Here's hoping for a vintage season this year. My weather hackles tell me that autumn will be long and mellow.

I bloody lovz Autumn, I do! Best time of the year for evening/night rides. Start in daylight, spectacular sunset, finish in the dark at the pub with the temperateture dropping. Perfect!

More cross racing, what's not to like about autumn.

what's not to like about autumn

The rain. The wind. The mud. The dark. The idiot motorists failing to adjust to the weather and the fading light. The imminent appearance of xmas merchandise and musak. The whole of November. The increasing cold. The wet, rotting leaves everywhere. The fact that we're now nine long, grim months away from the faintest hope of half-decent weather or passably solid trails...

Oh well. Time to rebuild the singlespeed. 🙂

Summer hasn't had its last hurrah quite yet. Although my feet are cold just now. So maybe it's turned the corner. I'll still not admit defeat until at least October. Shorts will go away in November except on the bike. 12/12 for shorts on the bike.

I was about to post something about the weather here (SF Bay Area), but then realized I actually miss the UK Autumn.

I got quite excited when I found some mud the other day, someone's sprinkler system had overshot and mixed with the dust...
