I've just been sat doing some of this and can't find any suitable pastiley colours or grey shades to produce a convincing shadow type hatches at all. Looks okay on screen but when i come to print as a pdf the greys i've been using as shadows look way too thin and reedy. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Now, back to looking at bike related stuff...

LT or Full Fat? Trial and error I'm afraid for both but more options in the full version.

Also try tweaking the CTB file.

thin and reedy? If your lines are to thin then just adjust the line weight.

You been playing around with transparency? I tend to use the 31 hatch pattern on a fine pen setting and perhaps a bit of transparency. Works better than applying a transparent grey or black

Yeah, it's the full fat version of autocad architecture. Guess you're right, probably a case if trial and error but any quick fixes most welcome.
