evening, need some help please! (stay with me im not a total numpty honest but never done this before)
want to make up a dvd for mum for a christmas present, ive had 3 MiniDV tapes of dear old dads converted onto a DVD.(Size is only about 3.8gb)
On the DVD i have been given there are VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS folders, there is nothing in the AUDIO_TS folder but the VIDEO_TS file has several .VTS files that I can open in VLC player (it seems to have defaulted to this player) and they play fine with sound.
I want to if possible.....
1 - Create an intro with music and a bit of text, e.g mums favourtie song with text saying merry chirstmas enjoy the DVD which then goes to a ....
2 - Menu with buttons so mum can click to certain bits OR play the whole DVD.
i guess there is free software to do this?
any advice or tips?

Mac or pc? IDVD is pretty simple to use with built in themes to populate with your content

oopps, PC, infact im worried my 6 year old dell laptop will blow up when i try to sor the dvd out.
