I'm sure this has been discussed, but you know...the search...
I have just cancelled my audible sub as Spotify premium now includes 15 hours of audiobooks per month. This is way better than having to pick a title as you can listen to a bit of a few books to see which you are going to like.
Anyway, I would have never chosen to use an Audible credit on the Dave Grohl autobiography...I'm ambivalent about the Foo Fighters and my interest in Nirvana had already waned by the time he joined the band.
However...it is one of the best things I have ever listened to. I think I love him. What a guy.
Any recommendations for equally great books? I like autobiographies and have recently listened to Alan McGee, Bobby Gillespie, James Brown (Loaded), Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox, Ted Kessler...
I'm chuckling away on my commute to "Alan partridge; I, Partridge".

ready by Alan (steve) and is, quite frankly, the knees of the bees (said in AP voice)

Just to note because it caught us out - in a duo or family membership only the main account holder gets the 15hrs of free listening.
One of the things I liked about Audible was the Alan Partridge podcasts...S1 and S2 are inlcuded in the membership and S3 is a £7.99 download.
Quite pricy compared with Audible, all the books I found that I wanted to listen to are £17.99. I can get them on Audible for £7.
Yes, I'm not sure I'd ever buy books through spotify, but I'm happy to use it for a book or two a month for 'free' that I don't think I'd want to listen again like I do with most of my audible ones.

Agreed - but as convert said, there is plenty there. 15 hours is a book and a half of 'included' listening.
Just about to say windswept and interesting...
Geezer butlers is on their too!
I need to look into this, I just subscribed to Spotify, and my money might as well go into an incinerator rather than Audible, since I finish about 1 out of 5 books I start. Probably cost me about £50 per book so far...
Kind of autobiographical, but I quite enjoyed Carlton Kirby's book, narrated by himself.
I'm just over halfway through Bob Mortimer's " And Away". Its the first audio book I've ever listened to and I like it!
Only some books are included in the free 15 hrs, plenty there, but it's not an open library as per the music. A couple I'd wanted to listen to were not included.
Yeah I tried it. I listen to a lot of audio books, and 10/15 hours is easily less than a couple of days for me, so it's not good value. With my current package on Audible, I can buy books at about £4.00. so It's a not from me.
