Bit ot but can you fit a folded wheelchair in the boot of an Audi SQ5 - this one.
My mum is in a wheelchair and we've seen this but need to make sure it's suitable to take her for trips.
I'll put £100 on you being the first person to ask if a Stupidly Quick 5 will take a folded up wheelchair in the boot. 🙂
Aside from the obvious and going to a dealership to try it, there may be some more information here:

If you can hang on until the morning, my mechanic friend has one.
Along with an FQ400
And a Range Rover.
But he makes no money apparently.
I looked at one recently and you'd be surprised how small the boot is. In litres the capacity looks OK, but in reality the boots isn't that long.
I'm changing from a VW Touareg, and the Audi spec was also significantly lower for the same money.
You'd struggle to beat a Touareg R-Line for the combination of power, acceleration, big size and spec. [edit - and price of course]
Yeah, the boot on the Q5 isn't that big, not as deep as the normal A4 Estate and more square.
As mentioned above a Toureg is a better choice for similar money but won't be as fast or have as firm suspension as the SQ.
As above but I would check height of chair folded as it may go in standing on its wheels with a bungy holding it upright
We got rid of ours because the boot was too small for pushchairs.
Replaced it with an a6 avant with the same engine. Have you thought about that instead?
My father had a Q5 for a while. The boot was woeful. Pathetic, in fact. Lovely car to be in, but a terrible boot.
If you need that sort of thing, higher ride position with a good boot, what about a Polestar XC60?
I would only want to add that, in my humble experience, the SQ5 isn't as quick at higher speeds as you'd expect.
I had a good humoured encounter with one back when I had my supercharged Golf R32, lasting about 20 miles of motorway. It was - repeatedly - nowhere near as quick as I'd have expected, once rolling above 50mph.
Given that the whole point is that it's meant to be quick, I'd just go for a bog standard powerplant.
OP may I be so bold as to say if you want a sports car there are better options than a 4x4, to second @squealer I had an A6 Quattro Avant and was very happy with it, largish boot quite long but not great height. We ditched the 4x4 when we didn't need 7 seats and the A6 had a better boot than the Shogun it replaced as well as being faster, better drive and more economical. If you don't need ground clearence just put all season tyres on a Quattro although having said that ours was magnificent in the snow with stock Conti's
I can't believe it's taken this long:
What is the point in the Q5, let alone the SQ5? Odious blobs of automobile bile.

Apparently many many thousands would disagree. Some people don't like bikes - who'da thunk it!

Totally agree. What is the point in these odd vehicles? If you want want a fast good handling car why would u buy one of these over a big engined A6 or 5 series or similar. Nothing good about sQ5's or similar if u ask me.
The point of the Q5.....well from experience it's comfortable, great driving experience and is ideal for my wife and kids. Definitely a better proposition than the 3 series convertible that she had before.
Great for doing long distances in comfort, fine nappa leather, B&O sound system and even a button so you don't have to get you hands dirty to open and close the boot! I wish the doors could do the same.
I personally find the control system for the nav/entertainment to be rather awkward to use and prefer my BMW.
Oh and just to add I have have never tried to get a wheelchair or my carbon fibre bike in it nor on the roof as it is too tall! The roof bars that come with it are still in the box.
My response is a little tongue in cheek but we all drive different cars for different reasons.
But what does it give you that the equivalent estate car doesn't? Apart from worse comfort, handling and fuel economy!
Would it not be better to take your mum out of the wheelchair and put her in a seat, rather than trying to fit her in the back?
But what does it give you that the equivalent estate car doesn't? Apart from worse comfort, handling and fuel economy!
Higher driving position, better visibility and easier access.
But what does it give you that the equivalent estate car doesn't?
- Exactly this.easier access.
And it's a bloody nice car.
But what does it give you that the equivalent estate car doesn't? Apart from worse comfort, handling and fuel economy!
But what does it give you that a hatchback doesn't? Or a 2 seater sports car? Or a bigger 4x4?
Maybe, just maybe, there is a market out there for this type of vehicle and maybe, just maybe people like them? Shocking isn't it.
Nice car that it is, not a fat lot of space in the back for much more than a few bags of shopping and a pooch.
Thought about an XC 60?
As long as a wheelchair fits, I'm not concerned if the boot space is not the biggest.
This seems to suggest it will.
Well enjoy it.
Nice car, blue or black or even a red one??

I totally get that, but (and this is purely based on reviews I've read) why then whack 'sport' (i.e. rock hard sprung and poorly damped) suspension and paper thin tyres on and spoil it? Not like you're going to be driving it on B roads for pleasure is it?
Because it will be lots of fun and a bit different. Not so many about.

Fair enough, enjoy!
Funnily enough I went car shopping last year with the measurements of my wife's wheelchair to see what to replace our Mazda6 Estate with.
I also wanted something a bit higher than the Mazda as it was a struggle lifting her up from the car to the wheelchair.
In the end I settled on the Volvo XC60 as it offered the best size boot & access with enough comfort & features for the price.
Tried the Q5 and found it lacking in space & too harsh a ride.
We've done the SUV/4x4 thing to death. I've had 2 Shoguns (200,000 miles in them) and a Rav4 (50,000 miles done in that). Many perfectly good reasons to have those over an estate car even a 4wd one.
As much as I loved my A6 Avant I can see why you might buy a Q5 or even a Q7 (mate has just ordered one). I do think the "sporty" Q's with ultra-low peofile tyres is not what I'd chose but its a free world and the OP is entitled to spend his money how he wishes. As I said on the Macan thread thats a surberb car and I'd have one in a heartbeat.
OP if you do get one please post some pictures of you looking extremely pleasd with yourself stood next to it 8)
You could show us how a bike goes in the back if you wish
I might add that my wife's is a 2.0 Tdi Quattro not the SQ5. Couldn't find an SQ5 at the time and ours came up as an S-Line Plus with more options than most hence the decision to buy it. The SQ5 is next and that dealers link also brings up a nice model with two tone black/red leather!
It's got 20" wheels with silly low profile tyres and I have to say the ride quality is far better than my 3 series tourer with 17" run-flats.
A friend of a friend has an SQ5 and got 46mpg (actual measurement) on a return trip to France. My best is low 40's on a 60 mile trip and my worst is a high speed run from Staffordshire to the Velodrome in Manchester when I got 26mpg!
My only real complaint is that I need step ladders to clean the roof!
