You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
anyone who drives at 198 mph on a public road (even on the continent) is a prize fool - the stopping distance is somewhere between 250 and 400m depending on road conditions. One small unforeseen incident at that sort of speed won't just kill the driver but would probably take out a couple of other road users as well.
You'd think it'd be illegal right! in fairness there is little traffic and it's probably about 6am on a Sunday
What a mad machine bet it's great fun to drive.

Killjoy! 👿
not a killjoy - there are plenty of closed circuits where enthusiasts can do that sort of speed in controlled conditions and with less risk of injuring themselves or others.
They're doing nothing illegal. Why the problem?
The BMW is flat out with the bloke driving one handed and filming with the other.
Having said that "The Beast" looks fun, a shame it's an Audi
One-handed and filming is ballsy!
@ Rob, I suggest you never watch the Gumball Rally, and most of the time they're all hungover!
Not watched the vid but the important question is. Can you still fit a bike in the boot?

Yawn.
You are Mary Whitehouse and I claim my five pounds
If the guy at the wheel was doing it properly he'd have been steering with his knees allowing for steadier control of the camera

About the same as most ageing / classic cars on the road at stopping from 70mph then.

You are ok upto 250kmh/150mph on unlimited Autobahn's (of which there aren't that many) as you're still covered by insurance, above there...
Nothing better than passing a car which is doing 150mph, and accelerating away 🙂
Wow - that looks like real fun - going in straight lines and all that - great! So skillful - I am in awe 😯
Does it do donuts in Sainsburys car park?
Take the graphics off and it'll make a great sleeper.

That was my first thought.
And calling it 'the beast'......hmmm!
Would be interesting to see it against this:
@ turnerguy, do you want it to do loop-the-loop or something? Check out MTM on youtube and you'll see it go round corners. 😉

cornering is where it's at...
p.s that golf ^ insaaane
If you want to see good car control then Google Simon McKinley. Possible the best bit of driving I have ever seen. That man is a true genius and his Mk2 Escort is the dogs b#llocks. Still prefer the UR Quattro 20v.
That Golf was barking mad!
Can't believe no one has noticed the steering wheel is on the wrong side!!
😉
Pokey little thing for the paper run in the morning.
