Last weekend i was up in the attic clearing space for the next load of baby bits to go up there and came across my old subbuteo set, Floodlight, stand, fencing etc. So it was straight our and on the dining room table.

Since then my old grotty pitch has been mounted to mdf and i've had a blast playing feel like a kid again. Couple of beers and a mate its been a blast

Anyone else found themselves in a similar situation after rediscovering something thats been stuffed away for so long,

My eBay searches have now gone to teams and a new pitch rather than bike parts. 😆

I'm more grass roots, green picket fence around the pitch. For the glamour tie of Luton Town v Wimbledon (old first division), I think Luton are down to 9 men as they've been leaned on.

Yup. Subbuteo and Scalextric both salvaged from my parents loft many years ago and now in ours. Am sorely tempted to get them down after reading this.

Desperately sad claim to fame............my pal Dougie finished fourth in the Scottish Subbuteo Championship many many years ago, and not long afterwards I held him to a 0-0 draw with some dogged defensive work. I was so chuffed. Still am in fact!!

Yup, Subbuteo.
🙂

What's your rules on live match commentaries?
One of our mates insists on commentating during games.
He's very funny, but it's a distraction tactic.
We've compromised by hitting him with cushions, but I don't think there's an official rule.

I have a boxed one of these in the loft, along with a few other models of similar mid 80's vintage.
[img] [/img]Searching through e-bay suggests it may be worth about seven quid now!

This time next year Rodney... etc.

I've still got Subbuteto cricket.
It wasn't as good as the football.

I may have spent inappropriate amounts of money reacquiring various Lego sets from my youth via ebay. The annoying thing is that I know most of them are stuck in my little brother's loft, after my mum gave them to him following a loft clear-out. He'll never let go of them though, claims they became his after I'd left home. Bloody younger brothers 👿

I'm just about to buy a big space shuttle set for an obscene amount, following my eldest's recent discovery of space - he was completely dumb-founded when we watched the ISS go across last week and I explained that there are people living up there.

Found my old Tomy Super Cup Football. We played for days and weeks on this thing. Considering a league at work.

Reminds me that my brother painted up another team to resemble the Southern League-dwelling Wimbledon F.C. of the mid-Seventies (glory days of the 74/5 FA Cup). <wanders off to see how much a Subbuteo 2 & 1/2 inch plastic FA cup is worth >
