Hi guys
i booked for 6 mates to fly to Athens in Feb a couple of nights Fri-Sun
i've not had chance to look at hotels/accomodation as i'm busy at work at the moment.
has anyone been and can recommend a good area to stop, ideally near a metro (like monassttraki) as we'll use that to/from airport and get around
an area with bars, restaurants and nightlife on the doorstep ideally.
not adverse to a hostel, although in private rooms., no budget really 20-60 euros each a night for a room, breakfast a bonus

My brother lives out there and when we visit, we often go to bars+restaurants in Glyfada (just south of Athens). Plenty of good bars. Not sure on nightclubs though as its a family visit. Nice area, and on the tram line to Athens, but I cant compare it to elsewhere apart from Voula where he lives (its certainly better than Voula!).
I went to Glyfada years ago - had one of the best Chinese meals I've ever eaten in my life!
Was a very nice town.
