Whay such a long wait for delivery? 10 to 12 weeks seems a bit of a long wait.

Are there any alternative brands worth looking at?

Id like to get one for when I move to my next house but don't know exactly when that will be so can't really order till I've already moved. Or maybe a week before.

Got one a couple of years ago and they are really good, although there are other brands doing similar things a bit cheaper I have no regrets except I got a bike store when I may have been better getting a full size shed

Lead time?
Increased demand combined with limited ability to expand production.
Supply and demand.

It would make sense for a custom build but this is for all of them. Maybe they do make them to order.

A few weeks is the normal lead time, when I ordered my motorbike garage back in 2016 I ordered it on the 9th November, estimated delivery was 30th November and it was delivered on the 28th.

The website says due to current demand it's 9 weeks. They can't hold hundreds of the sheds in stock, they're need a huge warehouse.

Just get it ordered!

Mine took about 6 weeks during Covid but it's worth the wait. I also paid the bit extra and built it for me.

It's for when I move house and don't know when I'll be moving till yhe week before. Could be 2 months or could be 6.

For what it's worth I got them to build mine too. I could have done it myself with my assistant, however my assistant is not patient... so for ease and to avoid a rammy I got Asguard to build it.

If you order now and it comes before you move you'll need to store it, move it and then build it. I would wait till you have moved then either get a temporary shed or keep the bikes in the house.
My assistant was happy for the bikes to be in the house temporarily, mainly because she has her own house.

I’d give them a ring and let them know your situation . They might be happy to hold onto it for you then deliver when you want it

That's worth a try.

Definitely get them to build if it's a large one. They are very polite and thorough. Best big ticket item I have got in a long time.

They're not able to store it for me and really want it shortly after I move. So I think I'll get it delivered here then keep it unassembled for the removal company to move. Just need to check they're OK with that.

I'd just buy a secondhand one. There's plenty on eBay and Facebook and it's not like they get beaten up.

Whatever one you get, make sure you put a ground anchor in. They're surprisingly easy to break into.

Best bet.

I assembled mine no bother. The one I ordered for work was built by 'them' they made a right arse of it and asgard had to send the boys round to fix it, so you're not missing much not getting it built ( though this was 10 years ago)

Takes a bit longer since the Bifrost went down. Evri are a bit unreliable picking up from within the nine realms.

Do Asgard use Evri?

That's a deal breaker for me.

Do Asgard use Evri?

only in the Marvel Universe

If Asgard can't hold the order for you, and you know which removal company you'll be using, see if its possible for them to deliver to the removal co and have them store it til you move date

Made to order hence the long lead times. They deliver using their own fleet so delaying delivery isn’t a problem.

I'd love to see our local Evri guy trying to deliver this... 🤣

That was my motorbike garage as it was delivered. They use their own delivery trucks for them.

Long wait, great product. Great comms. I ordered mine during one of the England games in the world cup. It arrived last Monday. Worth the wait. Just got to keep some bikes by my desk for a bit longer. Arrived in an Asgard van. Self-assembly in no time with an electric screwdriver. Picked up some OSB from Wickes same day and made a floor - would recommend this as I don't think Asgard can supply floors anymore.

I'd like to put an OSB in yo protect it. Any tipes on drilling big holes for the ground anchor?

Also Asgard recommended wrapping the panels in something to protect them while a removal company moves them I'm guessing carboard/bubble wrap is the best bet?

They definitely used their own truck when I got a shed about 10 years ago.

A Starrett or Bosch Bi-metal / multi-material holesaw should cut through it easy enough. I use them for mitreing cro-mo bike tubes no problem and the Asgard material is only about 1-2mm thick. Thinking back I did exactly that to cut a 6" hole for a fume extractor (shed is used for brazing).

I might need to install the ground anchor under the asgard as it will be sitting on wood ontop of concrete. So would need a hole large enough for a large chain to fit through. Maybe 40mm wide.
