Okay so I'm buying an Asgard in the new year, probably a 4 bike affair and it comes pre drilled to secure the shed to the ground but for those people who own one do you also use a chain/anchor combo? If so have you drilled through the shed in order to lay one and then prevented rust according to their warranty requirement or are people not bothering with an anchor/chain? Want to be sure whether I'm planning to set a ground anchor in the foundation of the base if I need to. Cheers
I personally would use a concrete base and set an anchor in to it.
While the asguard is sturdy in its construction it's not going to take as long to get through as a decent chain and ground anchor will. Especially if the asguard is alarmed so when they get in they're against time.
No ground anchor on mine. If the badguys can lift mine away then good luck to them. A battery powered whizzer and sledge hammer will take care of any Asgard, alarm security combo you may wish to come up with. If you are that worried or your property is that open keep the bikes in the house.
Fitted a ground anchor, through the floor of the Asgard. Not a speck of rust after 5 years. I didn't treat the holes either.
To be honest the whole shed looks like new, despite being 7 years old and have been moved/assembled three times.
