I need a new shed, but the place it needs to go is currently sloping tarmac, so I'd need to build a plinth of some kind.

Would I be able to build one out of thick timber, appropriately treated? Or do I need to go full bricks and concrete?

What sort of a slope are we talking about?

Mine (big motorbike garage style) is on a block paved driveway that slopes from front to back but is level side to side, that's the crucial bit or else the doors don't align.

We have the 4 bike version and it’s pretty robust but for the roof and locks to line up it needs to be leveled otherwise it has enough flex to cause an issue. I would say timber would be fine as the floors are nice and sturdy, could be supported at the corners only

For sale btw in case that’s what you’re after as we’re moving flats.
