...anyone use them ? Looking at either 3 or 4 bike, would be in back garden.
Thanks in advance
I have one of the four bike 29er stores in my shed. Easy enough to put together and is, I think, a worthwhile extra layer of security for my favourite bikes. I fit two, one FS and a hardtail, in plus a selection of bits and bobs. My two bikes fit in OK but they are big (long, low, slack, blah, blah) so I wish I hadn't bought the wooden floor since height is a bit tight for bikes with 150mm to 160mm forks and wide bars. No way would I fit four bikes in, not unless I switch to road bikes or at least bikes of more compact proportions. I went for all the accessories, the hooks are handy for hanging spare tyres though they are basic and you could make your own if you wanted plus I went for a shelf at each end which is really useful for storing stuff as they are above wheel height so make use of space that would otherwise be wasted.
Got one, it's great. Bought the 3 bike version to store 2 bikes comfortably, but 3 would be a pain (same as above - long bikes, wide bars etc). Didn't bother with a paving base or anything and it's been fine, but you do need the base to be flat or you'll have issues with the shed's uprights etc not aligning. Took two of us an hour-ish to build it once we'd flattened the ground. So far, so good - love it. Bought mine during the Tour de France when they had an extra 10% off an already discounted price, so I saved a couple of hundred quid.
I collected one of the 29er ones yesterday that I got off ebay for £300. Had to spend a bit of time leveling with small patio slabs. As above I would only want to put two nice bikes in to avoid them getting scratched. I have forced in a 24" town bike and 24" MTB with bars turned and a 20" a 16" a balance bike and a 29" touring bike with bars straight. And a lawn mower. Now enjoying being able to move in the garage!
I've had a 4-bike 29er version for 3 years and think its great. I regularly have in it a Cross-bike, 26'' FS MTB, 27.5'' MTB (slack, wide bars) and flat-bar commuter, all size large.
Pluss the pressure washer, pump etc etc.
100% recommended.
