…buried all the household TVs and radios in concrete and burned down the paper shop. Only 32 weeks to go.

Frankie Boyle tweeted the reason that she is pregnant yesterday. To repeat it on here would get me banned for a zillion years.

Is it anything like his comment about Dianna and an orgy in a minefield?

I like the fact twitter tells me Frankie Boyle is like Holly Willoughby. Now I'm not terribly familiar with the latter but I'd assume you don't become one of those Saturday night family-TV-friendly presenters by being like Mr Boyle.

I presume from the coverage that this is more important than the Virgin Birth.

Take the positives though Harry. If this coverage carries on, it greatly increases the chances of us all getting so bloody fed up with it, we finally take the somewhat more enlightened Gallic approach to Royalty....

Young couple, in love and expecting their first child. That's great news.

That said we will all O/D on the news coverage........

And Frankie is just naughty!

Now if only Frankie Boyle would get banned for a zillion years. He has become a pathetic parody of himself, and some time ago began confusing comedy with publically spewing anger-issue inspired vitriol.

When the royals bother to congratulate me on my sons birthday, THEN I'll show some interest.
In the meantime, why would I be interested that a couple have achieved what they were created to do biologically?

Good luck to them, i wish them all the happiness and joy that my wife and I enjoyed with the birth of our first. I hope that Kate recovers swiftly from what must be a pretty horrible experience.

If someone like Frankie Boyle wants to increase his "shocking comedian" credentials then let him have at it. I doubt he's the first to have a pop at the royals and won't be the last. Quite frankly I find his brand of schoolboy humour leaves me cold. I may have found it funny when I was 14. I'm not 14 and find him to be quite shit.

Good luck +1.

I'm not especially royalist, but as a parent I can appreciate where they are. Pre-12 weeks is a scary time.
My missus had a miscarriage at 9 weeks, and next time round was ill for 8 months of the 9. Its a horrible situation.

I do think the media should F-Off though and leave her alone. No coverage for another 6 monnths please.

I mostly agree TBH, but I still chortled a little. It's strange I occasionally find Frankie Boyle funny seeing as I'm always being accused on here of being horrifically PC.

Good luck to them, my girlfrind is 6 months pregnat now and we thought she had pretty bad morning sickness, being sick up to 6 times a day. She said although it was bad she would have never concidered hospital so i feel for Will and Kate.

As above an anouncement pre 12 weeks is scary, although we had a number of people asking due to how ill my girlfriend was we didn't confirm anything till after 12 weeks. Fortuneately for us the morning sickness went away completly by the 4th month.

Do think the media should show some compassion and leave them to it for now.

The important thing is will we have an extra Bank Holiday to celebrate the birth? Hopefully the trails will be drier by then.

I was quite worried about the hospitals after the new survey which says that a third of patients should be put somewhere else due to issues like dementia etc, how reassuring then to have a perfectly healthy young woman hospitalized for chucking up a bit in the morning , honestly wtf is EXTREME morning sickness- chucking upearlier than everybody else ?

Well it's nothing to do with chucking up earlier than everyone else for one, it can be a pretty serious condition.

honestly wtf is EXTREME morning sickness-

ex·treme/ik?str?m/Adjective: Reaching a high or the highest degree; very great: "extreme cold". Noun: Either of two abstract things that are as different from each other as possible.

I presume your English is better with the shorter words in the scentance so I won't go through the whole thing.

It's like ordinary morning sickness except you wear a GoPro and say 'stoked' a lot.

Frankie Boyle was funnier.

be off with your moderate 😉 behaviour and medical knowledge, we want an anti-royal thread.

kinda my sentiments, but then again I'm not sure they are courting the media with this one just yet, more the media having a bit of a feeding frenzy

Mrs North ended up "inside" due to hyperemesis. Thankfully no TV crews camping out to catch the sight of her retching and puking almost non-stop during 23 out of every 24 hours for 5 months.

Let's leave the girl alone.

We need time to time to sharpen the guillotines.

Very poor molgrips. 🙂

No one's complaining about the fact that Kate's pregnant.
No one's wishing the girl ill.

The complaint is about the blanket coverage and the cynical attempted use of the so called 'feelgood factor'.
It's overkill.
The percentage of the public who can be positively manipulated by this
type of story is falling all the time - I'd have thought the media might have cottoned on to this, but it appears not.
What do you think?

I'm noting that you're all men and haven't had the discomfort of normal morning sickness, let alone something that endangers your health and ultimately that of the unborn child.
I'm guessing that Kate and William would like to be left alone to get on with their lives. They aren't like the royals of old, they try to lead a semi normal life on the Isle of Anglesey.

I personally wish them and any other parents to be, all the luck in the world.

Anyone else happy that there is now ANOTHER baby that's being brought into a life of benefit-support?

I despise the existence of the Royals. Makes me sick.

My original point.

Good luck to 'em. Been there, done that and it is hard.

We don't need Nicholas Witchcraft stood outside the hospital telling us about it though and various people queuing up to wear out the radio with the word "wonderful".

Here in the US of A, the televison entertainment "news" shows are already wrapped around the axle about the pregnancy, gushing all over the place---probably reach the same fever pitch as the wedding did here.
I personally just wish them well.
