Zakkly. It's already dead, don't ruin it.

Unless you're buying cheap meat, in which case you shouldn't be.

Buy quality meat or no meat.

T-Bone - the smaller bit not the other. Very rare aka "dehorn it, wipe its ass and put it on the plate".

A few trips to South Africa have ruined steak for me. What they serve up as run of the mill steak down there is so much better than pretty much anything I have been served here in the UK. No idea what kind of steaks they were though....

Cooked any more than blue is a waste of good fresh meat. In fact beat it to death, waft it over a candle and serve it up and i'm happy as a fox in a chicken coop.

Although sirloin suprisingly is not so good raw

Emsz, it's tasty, tasty murder though!

And, if done properly, is rather a decent form of murder

😉

But if we're talking chocolate ...

meat - huge embodied energy. When I am in charge you will be paying thru the nose for it. 🙂

I got banned from eating steak in a local restaurant as the french chef got upset I wanted it well done.

Nothing wrong with cheaper cuts if making the right meals in the right way.

Must try tripe again. It's so cheap!

+1. I don't get this insistence on sirloin and fillet, when a nice bit of rump can be just as tasty, if not tastier.

Sirloin and fillet are just more spensive cos there's less of it on a cah, and trickier to cook. And as pointed out above, not as good if you want it quite rare. Rump is better for that, ime.

As for chocolate; LiDLs ftw. Loads better than other brands imo. Good range too, and cheap.

For posh, I do occasionally like to indulge on handmade stuff like you get in little boutiques. There's one in Canary Wharf actually. But it's like six quid for four little chocolates or something daft and you end up eating them when you've had a few and not appreciating them fully probbly be better off with any old rubbish at that stage really.

Kebabs are good too. Ask Binners, he'll tell you.

Well, I spose I could get one if I venture out, nothing's impossible, but I can't be arsed.

I think they do deliver up to 2 am, but it's a tenner minimum order, cash only and I jolly well have not got any.

4 am on weekends. Blimus. 😯

I've just treated myself to crumpets, lashings of butter, topped with slivers of extra mature Lancashire cheese. Nom, indeed! 🙂
