Not art of or about cycling (ok, one of the paintings I'm about to link to has a cyclist in it), but stuff that maybe gives you the same feelings as when you're riding...
This post was prompted by looking for next year's fridge calendar; I bumped into an artist I'd not heard of before, Simon Palmer.
Although he's painting mainly Wensleydale, he just perfectly captures the views and feelings I get and love while riding on the rural Welsh roads around here (Carmarthenshire). So that's next year's calendar sorted (you'll get 10% discount if you join their mailing list).
In the meantime, does anyone have any art that has a similar effect on them to share?
Nice, the kind of stuff you can have up around the house without it being a bike den.
For me it'd have to be places I've ridden. But that's all do-able as there are many popular MTB and road routes that would make an economically viable painting job and print run.
Very nice. Love the way he paints trees. Been trying to find a unique style of doing trees myself for the past few years. Not really getting it.
Other art that reminds me of places I've ridden is Rosemary Firth's work. I bought one a few years ago - they are part collage and have bits of leaves and fern (I love ferns!) embedded in them. It's nowhere I've ridden cos she's in Yorkshire and I'm down south, but hey, it's England 🙂

It's not a style that appeals to me, I prefer binners. Â The "Cool Bike Art" Twitter account often has some interesting stuff.
