Just been clipping my nails, as you do, and came to think why am I so utterly cack-handed with the clippers in my left hand trimming the claws on my dominant right hand?
I could probably pluck a mosquito from the air with a a pair of tweezers with my right hand, but would be hard pressed to slap Vannessa Feltz's arse without missing with the other.
Who has the gift of being double sided then? Are you the Ronnie O'Sullivan of the STW forum? Even worse, are you left handed like Mrs Stoner or Mr Stoner (Sr)?
think there was research done which concluded that being ambidextrous is a myth.
you can be quite dextrous with both hands but 1 will always be superior for a given task.
strangely, i'm left handed but use my right hand for everything, bar writing.
i'm left handed but use my right hand for everything,
even...?
yes!
makes sense. Probably feels like someone else.... 😉
Sinister and proud
I use my left hand at work quite a lot, on account I sometimes find that my right hand is on the wrong side of my body for certain jobs. As a result over the years, I've developed a fair amount of control over my left hand.
I find sawing with my left hand particularly amusing, and an interesting challenge in what might otherwise be another tedious and boring job.
btw, I've always been uneasy about shaking hands with a left-handed Muslim - should I be worried ?
GG - is there such a thing as a left handed muslim?
hmm - left handed sawing. That's a torn leg waiting to happen.

Surely you are right handed then. You just write left handed?
Are you left or right eyed?
Right handed but left footed.
Have read that I may really be a lefty but have trained my right hand to be dominant. But I too would find Vannessa's arse as equally elusive, and my upper right side is much stronger.
Kicking with the right foot is easier than punching with the left arm.
Maybe I'm half amphibious.
Im right handed but left eye dominant.
t'was a problem in my rifle shooting days.
The trick was to slot a bit of translucent plastic into my hat band over my left eye so that it could stay open, letting in light, but no information, while my right eye was doing the work through the rear sight.
I tried shooting left handed once. Lets just say that the range safety officer wasnt best pleased. 😉
GG - just checked, even if a muslim is left handed, he cant use his right hand for anything toiletry apparently. Well there you go.

left eyed. my natural inclination is to do everything with my left hand but almost always discover my right is better
I'm right-handed but I write left-handed & so do a few other fine control jobs with the left
As a result, I am a bit ambidextrous (if that's possible). I'd guess that I'm better at new tasks with my left than most RH people would be (I still throw like a "girl" but one who's had some practice)
On a bike/snowboard/water ski I'm left foot forward (not sure what that means)
Left foot forward is regular.
Right foot forward is [s]gay[/s] "fakey/goofy"
I'm left-handed, left-footed, left eye dominant.
If I attend a conference I'm only comfortable if I sit on the left side facing the speaker. I struggle doing sharp left turns on my bike because my right arm is the lead arm. 8)
BUT I write left-handed "normally", with my hand under the letters, not that painful looking hand bent above!
I'm strongly left handed (probably left sided as my left foot/leg seem dominant too) but strangely I seem to be right handed for everything that requires two hands (golf club, cricket bat, hockey stick etc.).
I do that painful looking hand above the writing handwriting.

Ah I see, you're working on the assumption that you can trust a muslim then ?
Personally, imo, anyone who is left-handed and a muslim, has a few things stacked against them.
Although I would dearly love to share your charming naivety, as it would help to reduce those stressful moments when faced with that 'tricky social dilemma', as I quickly try to calculate whether the owner of the outstretched hand, looks like a 'left-handed muslim'.
When i was but a nipper in primary school i had a habit of writing to the centre of the page with my left hand, then swapping to my right hand to finish!
A particularly lovely example of Christian 'evolution' (i went to a Methodist school) was so affronted by my use of the 'devil's hand' she tied my left hand behind my back to 'cure' me.
My mum went ballistic when she found out!
Even now i write with my right hand but use most tools with my left hand.
I swap my cutlery around.
Right handed
Boxing orthodox(left lead)
Ride bikes regular
Skateboard goofy
Football...can use both just as well(both shite)
Right everything. How do I know which eye is dominant?
How do I know which eye is dominant?
Which one of your eyes opens first, when you wake up ? ........I think you'll find, that is the dominant one.
Right handed, but can write with my left hand too - the end result is the same but it's a bit slower. I'm left handed for tin openers, and apparently tying my shoelaces (I've been told, I don't know the difference myself). Right eye only slightly dominant, I can hold a bow left handed or right handed. Never really done any skateboarding, surfing etc. but would prefer to stand right foot forward but it doesn't let you do that on the wii!
Look at something then point at it.
Then close each eye and see which makes your hand look more like it is pointing at it.
Works left and right hand.
LEFT - LOUD & PROUD
Lefty here, write with my right though, as it was beaten out of me by Mrs Edwards...thanks then. Can write with my left, but it's slow, and after a while begins to slant precariously.
Right handed and predominatley right footed but my left ain't too bad.
Ride my bike regular though.
Strangely I use my cutlery "backwards" can saw and hammer left handed and clean my teeth left handed - had to learn this when I knackerd my right wrist a few years ago and couldn't do anything right handed so ahd to learn all sorts of life skill left handed, seriously try cleaning your teeth or brushing hair with your non normal hand, it's well hard.
Which one of your eyes opens first, when you wake up ? ........I think you'll find, that is the dominant one.
😆
Right handed for writing, left handed for tool use, digging the garden and am even using the computer mouse now with my left hand. Can't use scissors though with my left hand.
Left footed during riding (always put my right foot down first).
The ambidextrous use of tools is really good, especially when I'm up some ladders.
Writing - Left handed
Scissors - Either
Throwing - Right
Snooker - Left
Cricket - Right
It's odd attempting a new ativity e.g. archery as I have to work out which hand will give the best results 😆
