Was going to buy a cheap tv for upstairs to banish the Xbox but started thinking maybe should demote the existing Samsung tv downstairs and replace with an LED one. Thoughts?

if you're going to buy a new one, I'd get an LED rather than LCD, as they're a lot lighter, thinner and cheaper to run.

Led is just a different way of lighting an LCD tv. But would agree that they are brighter.
