..am I allergic or something?

just had a pink lady (fnar fnar), and now have a horrible sickly feeling in my throat and feel a bit nauseous. Its not the acidic apple hitting my stomach, its more a throat thing.

Can you be allergic to apples? I read it could be something to do with pollen or maybe fructose intolerance?

Aren't pink ladies heavily waxed? maybe that is the problem. Always puts me off eating them, when they shine so much.

I just googled, and a Pink Lady is actually a cross between Golden Delicious and Lady Williams apples.

The Lady Williams apples are in turn believed to be from Red Granny Smith and another undetermined apple.

A b@st@rd apple, if you will. The internet is great.

Seems a bit ironic to have a login of "organic" and choose a variety like "pink lady". Try some other more natural varieties, we are blessed in the UK. I get through 4 Braeburn's most days, right mix of sweetness and crunch for me.

At this time of year it has to be a Cox or even a Russet.

I personaaly like Pink Lady apples for their crunch, but not at this time of the year.

Apples make my teeth itch, but apple juice, even freshly pressed, doesn't

That's probably because they've found that there's a large amount of female hormones present in cider.

Six pints and you talk crap and can't drive.

Are you eating them on an empty stomach? I'm the same if I eat an apple when I get out of bed, coffee does it to me too.
