I use Apple Music and have a few different Playlists for different moods (sport, work, relax etc). I also have one big playlist with all of my music. I also have the option to add songs to my library and also favourite songs.  How does this differ from having one big playlist?

When you Shazam a song that you like, what do you then do with it? Is my version, adding to a big playlist, a clunky way of doing things?

Isn't your "all" playlist the same as your library?

I don't think I have an "all" playlist, or if I do have one I don't know where it is

You said you have a big playlist with all your music.

I use Apple Music

Apple Music is both an app and also, additionally a streaming service

Are you using the app as a stand-alone collection of your purchased music or are you streaming music through the app?

Your 'library' is all the owned music stored on your devices. A playlist is a subset of that. Both can be played either sequentially or in a randomised order. Favorited music (whether playing from you library or streamed) will play more often when listening in random.

Somewhat confusingly if you are a streaming customer you can add things that you like to your library, you don't HAVE to download it.

They seem to have just added favouriting songs (and albums) after implementing favouriting artists at some point last year.

If you favourite a song it ends up in an automatically populated "Favourite Songs" Playlist.

The nomenclature is all a bit of mess and unApplely.

How do I play My Library (using iPhone app)? I can only see how to play individual albums or songs within my library, not how to shuffle across all content

Library > Songs should have them all in with an option to shuffle?

That is helpful I didn't have Songs as an option in my library but I realise now that Library is editable so I have added songs. All makes a lot more sense now. Cheers
