I have a copy on my Macbook Pro and sometimes it is not as quick as i would like. At the moment it has a mere 2gig of ram and now that i can afford to max it to 8gb would i actually notice the difference. Or is the issue the processor or HD speed?

I run 4GB an Aperture can sometimes run a bit slow, I put it down to a lot of heavy duty processing esp if working in batches

open activity monitor when it's busy; then look through the various stats.
Is each CPU 100% busy? Is there a large amount of disk actvity? Is a swap usage increasing?
