Whilst walking the boy to school (him in one hand bike in another) I overheard some older kids, from an older school, saying "dat bike is BEAST".
The "BEAST" in question:

[img] [/img]

Last year it was "WELL SICK". I can't keep up wid da youff. Are these terms of appreciation? is the ultimate a "WELL SICK BEAST"? This isn't an excuse to show off my awesome bike revitalisation skills, it's more a realisation that I'm not young anymore and probably haven't been for some time. I can't be the only one not down wit da kidz....

I have a 'skillz bike' - or so da kidz tells me. 8)

They asked to see some moves... but unfortunately the space was too small to display my skillz.

Didn't know there was such a thing as a skillz bike... I know now. Thanks, da kidz!

According to some young ladies I once encountered pon da street, I am 'well buff'. 😀

Was a while ago, although I don't think my buffness has diminished that much really.

If I ever achieve the status of being 'butters', then I will become concerned. Prob not going to happen really though, let's be honest.

bare ends on carbon risers with ergon grips to boot
Like I care what you think.
The SS has normal grips and proper bar ends for added leeverage.

I once got a round of applause from the local yoofs for riding down a twisty set of steps. One of them said "Wow! that was like Danny Macaskill" proudest moment of my riding career!

It's amazing how much a 'Nice bike, Mister' from a bunch of kids boosts your confidence.

Or (whilst on a previous bike) how much 'hey, your ride's sh*t!' from a throng of hoodz can make you feel old and poor. 😐

I'd have asked how you managed to use that much travel walking your kid to skool(sic)!

I'd say cut your brake cables down a bit but they look like Elixir's so with the amount of aggro most people seem to suffer with Avids it may be better to leave em that LONG

If you walking with a child in some parts of the north east and someone say's "WELL SICK BEAST" it's not a good thing.

My son told me that the other day, too.
