Hi I need help with my home insurance
7yrs ago they wrongly cancelled my home insurance
Due to a miss understanding
They won't back down
So now it's stuck on my record
Does anyone know how long it's stays on record or how I can get it taken off
As any insurance I have it costs me more i as I always tell them I've had insurance cancelled in the past

TBH these days insurance companies are so consumer-friendly you must have been going some to get your insurance cancelled. It's unlikely to have been a 'simple misunderstanding'.
You are required to disclose all facts that might be material to the writing of the policy and that would include having had a previous insurance policy avoided.
Like I said I always tell insurers that I had some cancelled in the past just wanderd how I can go about getting it off

FOS won't work as they can only consider complaints within 6 months of the insurer's final decision.
