Heard yesterday it was a nightmare around jnc 6/7 due to roadworks. Will be using it tomorrow to get on the equally dreaded m5 to head south. Any times better than others, current plans will see us hitting it about 9am.
It was fine when I came back to Bristol from York last week. The M1 was the crap bit - 50mph roadworks for miles... and miles... and miles.
Was down there last weekend. The M42/M5 intersection seemed the worst part although we were heading north up the M5 for 1 junction rather than south.
The rest of it was fine.
As Wallop, the M1 was the dodgy bit.
I did m40 - m42 onto m5 the couple of days ago. It was all clear.
I came down yesterday. Ducked off down an A road for a couple of junctions, was fine.
The M25 was another matter, standing traffic for six junctions.
Sounds good then. Just want to be past Brizzle and darceys lot before lunch!
I came back (to Bristol) from Leicester yesterday on mainly A roads...sat nav took me down the A46 eventually. took about the same time.
