My ipod shuffle is slowly dying and want a replacement. However I no longer use itunes, or have a laptop to run it even if I wanted to! All my music come via Amazon Music nowadays.

I found the Mighty Vibe which you can use as a stand-alone player and downloads music from Amazon and Spotify onto it. Has anyone got one? Does it do what its says it will? It seems to be Ipod shuffle sized and is about £80. I don't want to take my phone out running etc so this seems to be a potentially good option.

Does anyone have any experiences with this or something similar?

Looks interesting but 5.5 hour battery life seems pretty lame. Also a bit expensive for what it is. Reviews are quite positive though.

Some Garmin watches can play music, including Spotify and Amazon Music (or your own MP3s). Means one less thing to carry when running anyway.

Also the lack of display on that Vibe player could be annoying. Fine if you only every use shuffle mode, but what if you want to pick a particular song/artist/track to listen to?

No, however I received a video on WhatsApp the other day where someone was using a magic wand. Seemed not to make particularly good music but I could be tone deaf
