Hi all,
My mouse cursor does not match up with where the mouse actually works on. For example, if the cursor is just to the right of a line, the line will be highlighted. If I put the cursor over the line, it is not highlighted. When I have the vertical and horiz lines coming from the mouse pointer, they actually come from just to the left of the pointer.
Anyway I can change it back to "normal"? It's never done this before...
(Sorry for my terrible explanation)
No Solid Edge experience (Solidworks here) but is the problem seen in other programs?
Nope it's fine. It's also fine when selecting menus etc in Solid Edge, so it's definitely a setting just for when working on models.
Also does it with both a mouse and laptop trackpad.
I have been using solid edge for 10 years now. Currently running st4 - what version you running ? Secondly are you running the latest patch ? (st3 for example has 9/10 patches available for issues just like what you are experiencing). I would also check the graphics properties under options to make sure the "graphics settings advanced" tab is selected (assuming you have a half decent graphics card) or try setting to backing store which will override graphics card and all processing will be handled by CPU instead of GPU. Failing that reinstall edge! It can be funny sometimes and I have experienced many glitches over the last few years!
Good luck
Have you tried changing the 'Locate Zone' and the 'Intent Zone' values within the Cursor Tab in Intellisketch? Might be worth a try.
When you say "I have the vertical and horiz lines coming from the mouse pointer", what do you mean. I've been using Solid Edge for 13 years and can't imagine what you mean.
